My teaching and writing have ranged widely. Along with American literature, I have taught Medical Humanities, Literature and the Natural World, Portraiture and Character in Literature and Art, Approaches to Autobiography, and a variety of other writing courses. Having left full-time teaching to spend more waking hours writing, I also speak for university, church, and community groups, lead retreats, offer short courses and writing workshops and personal editing services.
